Simple & Quick Harvest Decorating Ideas for the Busy Entrepreneur!
It’s Harvest Time!
As we say goodbye to October and hello to November, we know it’s time to get ready for spending time with family and friends, and we gear up for great food, fun, and harvest time decorations! So I thought I’d share a few ideas with you, so you can take a break from your business and start gearing up for a great holiday season. Get the kids involved, and friends too as you take time to fully enjoy the people in your life. Happy harvest time!
Simple & Quick Decorating Ideas for the Busy Entrepreneur:
Clear bowls are super useful for simple festi-fall decorating. Gather a variety of bowls in various shapes, sizes, and textures including beveled glass, but make sure you can easily see through them.
Fill some of the bowls with color-coordinating articles from nature and the outdoors, and others with good things to eat! Some great ideas include colorful leaves and twigs in one or two small bowls that you can use to accent coffee tables and end tables.
As a centerpiece for a table, put together a selection of colorful, warm-colored vegetables like squash and small pumpkins accented with green vegetables in a large bowl (or on a platter). You can even do this with two matching bowls, adding a candle to each. To secure the candle, drip hot wax on the center vegetable (an adult should do this step) and secure the candle to it, holding it still until the wax cools a bit and allows it to set.
For the kids, have a bowl or two filled with autumn-colored candy or small candied apples.
Need a harvest vase for flowers? Use a hollowed out pumpkin or squash!
Baskets will also add the nostalgia of harvest time. Fill them with raffia and Indian corn, or apples and cinnamon sticks. You can even fill a basket with colorful leaves and pine cones.
Use your imagination, but just keep it simple so children and family members can help in creating these attractive decorations. It doesn’t have to be complicated at all. At harvest time, it’s doing things together as a family that matters most, and simple but colorful design will prove to be very beautiful in more ways than one!
Have Great Family Fun!
