2012 was a good year with a lot of growth for me and for my clients, including financial growth, educational growth, emotional growth, and even spiritual growth! Way to go all of us!
2013 promises to be even better! 2013 is a year I am so ready to embrace, and I am thrilled and juiced up to meet all of the new opportunities head on! I am expecting even greater growth for myself and for my clients.
Here are just SOME of the gems I will be offering for a blockbuster 2013:

A Life of Brilliance!
In my teen years, I made a very conscious decision that I would be a life-long learner and that I would always care about other people. I decided that my life would be significant and influential in very positive ways. From that determination came some promises I made to myself over the years for both my life and my business. They add richness and purpose to each day. Here’s a list with many of them. Feel free to make this list a part of your life too!
1. I refuse to be jealous of anyone.
2. I will embrace others with an open heart and not put up any walls.
3. I will enlarge my “territory” by meeting new people and opening to new experiences.
4. I will fully encourage others and support their success.
5. I will learn about my emotions and inquire into them, beyond just noticing them.
6. I will be aware of how my behavior affects others, and I will make necessary adjustments for good relationships and success.
7. I will not argue with reality –I will love and accept what is.
8. I will learn from others and never think “I know it already”.
9. I will discover my “Gift of Brilliance”, and participate fully in my life’s purpose and calling, and help shape my own destiny.
10. I will be a giver not a taker.
11. I will be a helper of others.
12. I will take responsibility for all of my actions and results.
13. I will take steps towards my goals & vision without getting too caught up on the “how”.
14. I will define success as being MUCH more than gaining money.
15. I will always do, say, and be exactly what my heart says I should—I will walk in the freedom of my brilliance, being totally authentic, no matter what others do or say.
This list may help you design a new year and a new lifestyle of freedom and abundance! I encourage you to make your own list to reflect YOUR personal intentions for both a New Year and a new life & business.

Great list! Wow, as a teenager you must have been a dream for your parents – someone who was wise beyond her years and incredibly self-aware. So brilliant, Margo! A life of brilliance! Feel like that should be the book title for all our lives! I can relate to so many of your mantras, especially #1. I think as an entrepreneur, it can be hard to come across competitors that are offering similar services and feel discouraged but then I stop myself and remember someone telling me, that if someone is already doing what you are doing, that’s great! There means that is a market. Additional, we all bring our unique approach to our businesses and that is what ultimately makes us stand out.

I think #1 is a common struggle. A lot of my clients have been concerned with others doing what they are doing or out-right using their very words without citing the reference. Of course there is a copyright issue there, but in general, you will see peeps everywhere using very close to the same ideas, getting as close to copying as they legally can, and doing very similar work.
I like to think of it this way. You may frequent 10 restaurants, but they all serve different food–even two hamburger joints!
Like you stated, we all bring our unique selves to the table, and THAT is the clear difference. At the end of the day, your client wants you and that is why they buy!
Life is too short to be jealous or to get into negative energy over what other people are doing–even when they seemingly are doing exactly what we are. No matter what we say or how we react, we cannot stop it, so we may as well just stay in right thinking and see the good in it. Like you affirmed, it simply means there is a market there!

Love this list Margo … it’s speaks more to BEing rather than DOing. I think the one supports the quality of the other, would you agree?
I gave up resolutions years ago and now focus on an annual theme that’s grounded in my personal growth. In my opinion, it’s a much better way to set goals because it has the depth of how we show up in the world.

Thank you Christine. I agree, it is way better than a plan because it sets your intentions in your heart, then your day to day happenings come out of an aligned heart of good intentions. That is when doors fly open for you! Either way, you should have a life list BEFORE you set your plan!
