“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”  ~Martin Luther King Jr.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.”  ~Martin Luther King Jr.

“Only in the darkness can you see the stars.”  ~Martin Luther King Jr.

Over the years, many people have come to me for help because they felt stuck or unclear. For a lot of the people I have helped, this sense of being stuck was to the point of not being successful or profitable in life or business, and sometimes to the point of not being able to do anything at all.

No Lack of Ideas or Opportunity

What I have learned through working with so many smart yet confused or unclear individuals is that they often get stuck NOT from a lack of intelligence, and NOT from a lack of ideas or opportunity. They get stuck and unclear because they close their eyes and ears to what Source is trying to say to them.

Some DID Not Recognize

They fail to recognize the gentle (and sometimes not as gentle) tap on the head that is there to direct them precisely to their path, reveal to them a new & higher energy mindset, and point them specifically towards their empowering and golden opportunity.

Some DID Recognize but Still Were Stuck

In addition, I also have worked with many people who DID recognize that “divine direction”, that “new thinking”, that “tap”, and that important “call” from Source, but they did not make the decision to heed the call! They got stuck in indecision.

Stuck in Indecision and Familiarity

We get stuck in indecision because taking that one step forward means walking away from what was comfortable or comforting to us in some way (though it may no longer work for us).

We fail to decide to move in a new direction (even the one that’s super clear to us and the one that holds amazing promise) because going on to something new means leaving something old behind and letting go of what we know.

Fear of the Unknown or the Comfort of What We Know?

Sure, some of us fear the unknown, but worse and more damaging to our futures is that many of us cling to the false comfort of the familiar (and often the mundane and mediocre), simply because we know that so well and so intimately. We hold on tight to that comfort level!

Embracing the New Means Letting Go of the Old

OK. You may be ready to move forward, but more important, are you ready to leave that thing in the past that is not a part of your immediate future?

We often stay stuck because we try to hold onto something that is meant to stay.

We want what is new but we are unwilling to leave behind what should not come into our future. Therefore, we stay stuck because we just will not let go of the old!

The old may be something you will let go of for a time or a season, or perhaps it is something you say goodbye to forever. It does not matter, and often you don’t even need to know I  order to move ahead. All you really need to know is that you are READY, WILLING, and ABLE to embrace the new and let go of the former thing.

Every new idea, direction, insight, opportunity, and leading comes with it a built-in requirement, and that is, that you be WILLING to leave the former things, and DECIDE to go in the direction of the new.

Are you ready for your new future?

To move forward quickly, answer these four questions honestly:

1) What is the new idea, leading, thought-pattern, or opportunity that Source is guiding me towards, or tapping me with on top of my head?

2) What am I holding on to that keeps me from embracing this new thing?

3) Do I really I trust and believe in the greatness of Source enough to know that LETTING GO is totally for my good?

4) What is the first step I will take from this point, to let go & go forward?

Do not let the old rob you of that new and empowered life that awaits you right now. Let go of that which no longer serves you. Release that which keeps you stuck and unhappy.  Bless the old and let it go so you can move gracefully and with excitement into your abundant future (which starts right now).

Let’s Work Together!

Answer the four questions above, and if you still feel stuck and unclear, and you know you need help getting unstuck and super clear  so you can immediately narrow in on that one thing you should be embracing right now, or that thing you should be letting go (or both), contact me directly to schedule a one-on-one discovery call. Stuck in the busyness of being busy. That’s been the case with me in the past (too often I’m sorry to admit). I think we get so caught up in doing what needs to be done Margo, that we don’t listen to our inner voice. Would you agree?

My experience has been, that when I just take the time to ‘unplug’ that I hear. Thinking too much gets me stuck every time. :)

    • Miki I TOTALLY agree. I am still learning that lesson. I listen to that inner voice, and then if I am not careful I am getting pulled off sides again. I think that’s why it is so important to have a weekly sitting appointment with that inner voice (and also sessions in between). Listen to get clear or to reiterate what you are already clear about, and then write it down to REMIND yourself to stay on track.

You are so right. That inner voice is what we need to follow.

THANK YOU. You actually make me want to go listen to it some more!

      Hugs,

      Margo

  3. That’s a nice wake up article! Yep, I can relate to all the phases you just mentioned, as I guess everybody. That is the path to being an entrepreneur, however they are episodes of the ‘Success Show’….they are never the end. Thanks for reminding us that wherever we are we can always move on…let go and feel lighter and ready to undertake what is yet to come.

But yes, so true, we still have to decide. And that step can be so difficult sometimes. I think what prevent some people from making a decision is the fear to make the wrong one. Although making the wrong decision is always better than not making any.

I love your article Margo, fabulous!

Such an inspiring and powerful post Margo! I love the questions you outline to ask ourselves. So many things that happen to us are really results of having faith in ourselves and going for it without looking back. It is so important to know when to hold onto past experiences and to know when to let them go. I’m ready for a new future and couldn’t be more excited about it!! :)

  5. Margo,

This is an excellent post. “Stuck” theme is so powerful, because I think it happens to nearly everyone at some point. We get stuck even when we remain so busy, and so it’s essential to pause and get the perspective.

    thank you for sharing this.
