We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.  ~Albert Einstein

You hear a lot about “mindset” out in business circles and in the workforce in general. It has become sort of a buzz word that most people still don’t fully (or even partially) “get”.

Our mindset is really just a set of attitudes that we have based on the thoughts that we think. Mindset involves what we choose to say (to ourselves and others) and believe, which in turn drives our behavior every single day.

A success mindset, depending on how you personally define success, can be all about making lots of money, and it can also be ONLY about making money. On the other hand, a success mindset can be all about living a rich and full life (which obviously, in many cases, will include the thinking that helps to create a decent income). Regardless of the amount of money your money-mindset helps you to bring in, if the other aspects of your mindset are not in line with beliefs you can really stand behind, happiness will ultimately elude you, because after all, success is not just about money!

A few years ago I did a training session for a group of entrepreneurs in the interior design and related industries. I spoke on the topic of mindset, and specifically on “Life Mastery”! The way I approach them ties them together. They are totally related.

Last year I edited the audio down, and this week, I want to share that 55 minute “Life Mastery” audio with you. It is my gift, because I am extremely serious in my mission to help people get aligned with their own truth, and assist them in their journey to become more and more authentic, and thus more and more empowered.

Life Mastery is all about empowerment-it is Lifestyle Design in action, but not in terms of things (at least not for the most part).

Life Mastery is our ability to design and live the life and lifestyle we want based on what we choose to think, believe, and hold in our hearts and minds. As I have shared over and over again, our thinking always determines our behavior.

Through conscious Life Mastery, we CAN create a lifestyle that is meaningful to us and that resonates with us on both a heart and soul level first and foremost, and then on a financial level.

Our reason for being alive is to be a success.  Not to be famous or worshipped by others, but to be a person of substance and contribution, and even a person of impact. We do this when we find our purpose, and we can find it no matter what we do for a living, because our purpose (unlike our calling and gifts) is not about what we do, it is a about who we are as people.

Anyone can make tons of money. Drug dealers and law breakers do it all the time. But not everyone knows how to design a fabulous life of wealth, abundance, meaning, enrichment, growth, contribution, success (in business or life-work), and happiness. Yet this is what we all strive for every moment of everyday— even the drug dealers!

I will be totally up front-creating a winning mindset is not a cake walk. It absolutely takes COURAGE to look openly and honestly at how you think, and then do the work needed to change your life for the better. Yet it is so very much worth the effort.

Most all of us want the same thing. We want to be successful, we want to be happy.  Yet we will never be a success and we will never embrace happiness with a mindset that tricks us or works against us. A successful life is a balanced life in terms of not getting our joy strictly from more money or an abundance of things!

Here is your Life Mastery ticket to an empowered mindset that will rev you up to live successfully and on purpose. Enjoy it fully! (Give it time to download, it’s large.)  http://www.DeGangiGroup.com/self_mastery_with_margo_degange_edt3_2011

“To be a person of substance and contribution” – yes, you’ve hit the nail with that one.

That is the focus, and it should be the focus, rather than superficial goals of running after wealth and fame. Wealth and fame should be effects, not the cause.

    An insightful post, Margo.

I love this “Our reason for being alive is to be a success. Not to be famous or worshipped by others, but to be a person of substance and contribution, and even a person of impact.” I truly believe we all should live our lives with purpose.

Hey Margo – You really hit this out of the ball park. Courage. Creating a success mindset really does take courage. Living in alignment with one’s values takes courage. You’re right – it’s not a cake walk yet living a life full of freedom and fulfillment is WORTH the effort. We GET to make the choice to go there and to me that choice is well worth it. Thanks again!

Totally agree with your point that anyone can find a way to make tons of money, what’s hard is finding a way to make money that makes you happy and also contributes to people. And YESSSSS doing that takes a lot of courage. Good thing you are here showing peeps the way 🙂

Yes Miki, our purpose is about who we are, and our calling is about plugging in with what we are passionate about to help others (in business and in life).

The audio helps us look at our thinking that drives us either towards or away from success. It is definitely worth the time to listen.

Thanks for reading and sharing. Let me know how you liked the audio!

I love how you said our purpose is not about what we do, it’s about who we are. Yes, most of us want the same things … success and happiness. What that means is a little different for each of us, right? But you’re right on when you say it takes courage – looking inside and doing the work.

Can’t wait to listen to the audio Margo. Thanks !! 🙂
